Miniatures Museum

Miniatures Museum

  • Cheryl designed this website to show the world the miniatures she had created over the past twenty years.
  • Cheryl took photos and wrote descriptions of each miniature project.
  • Cheryl used the site as her "window to the web" to show the world who she is and what she can do.
  • The photos tell the story; the descriptions go into more detail.
  • Cheryl used Dreamweaver software to create the site.

Elle Piccolo Dolls

Elle Piccolo Dolls

  • Cheryl used client's photographs to design a website showing the doll artist's unique creations.
  • Cheryl chose a typeface that captures the "Southwestern" feel of an artist from Arizona.
  • Each of Elle's "little people" has its own page, with photos highlighting its special features.
  • A simple navigation system provides an easy means of finding information quickly.
  • Cheryl created the site using Dreamweaver software.

We Love Lundby Club

We Love Lundby Club

  • Cheryl chose a dollhouse theme for this club website. She used a row of dollhouses at the top of each page. The main feature of the navigation system is a dollhouse with many rooms.
  • "Lundby Red" was used throughout the site to tie it to the manufacturer of the Swedish dollhouses the club collects.
  • A typeface called "Denmark" is featured on the site because of its nordic feel.
  • Cheryl adapted the site to the club's specific needs, including pages on the history of Lundby, a tour of Lundby dollhouses, dealers, and tips for buying and selling on ebay. There is even a page called "The Lundby Detective" where members can ask others for information about Lundby houses or furniture they have collected.

Vermeer Painting "Girl with a Pearl Earring"

Vermeer Painting
"Girl with a Pearl Earring"

  • Cheryl created this website to let people see her miniature version of Vermeer's studio at the moment Vermeer was putting the final touches on his painting "Girl with a Pearl Earring."
  • Cheryl used colors from Vermeer's paintings to create the site, the same technique she used to create the roombox. She learned about this cinematic technique on the website for the movie "Girl with a Pearl Earring."
  • Using her own photos, Cheryl described every aspect of the roombox, from the flooring to the exquisite dolls.
  • A straight-forward navigation system appears in two places on each webpage, making it easy to move from page to page.

French Country Dollhouse

French Country Dollhouse

  • Cheryl created the site to show the world her dollhouse, a French Country bed & breakfast.
  • Cheryl took photos and wrote descriptions of every room and it's special features.
  • Cheryl scanned in a fabric used in the dollhouse and used it as a border on each page.
  • Cheryl developed a clean layout with an easy-to-navigate structure.
  • Cheryl used Dreamweaver software to create the site.

Wacky Face Productions

Wacky Face Productions

  • This "playful" site was created for a crafter of ceramic tiles. The colors and style reflect the carefree attitude the artist wished to project.
  • The colors pink and green were taken from one of Julie's tiles.
  • Each page contains numerous photos and easy links to get more information about the tiles.
